I know much about hate
and it’s ease in where it will take you.
You don’t have to care about people
when you hate them
and you most certainly don’t have to think
about their well being
or why they are that way.
But you can certainly put all that is wrong with you
on their shoulders
giving you the perfect excuse
to tell Peter.
But as he looks over the book
he gives you an odd question:
“Ok, so I have heard about your hate,
but now tell me about your love?”
I stammered at the question
trying to give an appropriate answer
but yet in the end coming only to one conclusion:
I don’t even know what that word means
and even further
I don’t know if anyone can really tell me what it means.
I ponder for days trying to find how it is shown
how it is reveled
but yet it still doesn’t make any sense.
Is it an action?
Is it an emotion?
Is it faith?
Who would invent such an odd creation?
The caring of another over yourself
or is it caring for yourself because others care?
Is it a gift?
Is it receiving?
Does it show itself in a from?
Can someone embody it
and show what it means?
But yet still–
these questions are best left to saints
and I am just a sinner.

Lord, may I stand–
as I am before you,
with a broken spirit and heart
shattered to the core
disjointed and foolish.
For I am a sinner,
unworthy to call upon your name
and I have fallen short of your glorious standard.
How lowly am I to even think of your name.
Lord, may I lay down–
like the dust from where I came
this world is shattered amongst the ashes
and evil runs through it’s core.
They have forgotten your name
and lash out curses at your existance.
They built up great knowledge
to put in place of your wisdom.
For they have all sinned
and fallen short of your glorious standard.
Soon you will unleash the fires that will
burn all of the evil out.
Lord, may I kneel–
humbly before your glory,
for I do not belong in your presence.
Yet you have brought it to me
because you choose to love me.
You choose to call me your son
and cleanse me with your blood.
How can I possibly repay your loving kindness?
How can I possibly give back any little bit
that was ever given to me?
I can not come close!
So I will not try,
I will accept it all as a loving gift
and live out my life to you.
Lord, May I lift my hands–
and plea on behalf of those that I love,
that they may be pleasing in your sight.
Remember that they are but flesh
fallen and confused,
but humbled by your presence.
Extend you wings around them
and hold them close to your will.
Keep constant watch over their lives
and protect them from harm.
Keep the guard at the gate
watchful for their arrival
and let them live out their lives to you.
Lord, may I sit–
and rest in your promise
that what you have reborn in spirit
will be reborn physically.
That all of my needs you will meet,
that all my wants will be given to you
and that you will bring comfort to my soul.
Give me your wisdom
so that I may live a life that is pleasing to you.
Give me your Holy Spirit
so that I may know your will.
For they that know their God
will be strong and do many mighty deeds.
Let me be all that you would have me to be
and let all of my life be given up to you.
Lord, may I stand–
and pronounce your judgments
that all of nations of this world
are destined to the dust from where they came.
For they can never defeat the one true enemy
Death.
But you my Lord have faced death it’s self
and won victory over it claws!
And now you are giving that victory
to all that will take it.
But it’s too small a task for you to just give life,
you are also making a new kingdom
making a new way of life
and making a new earth.
For all that is usable in this world
will be used
and all that’s not usable
will be thrown away.
So let us sing praises to your name!
Thy kingdom come
thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.

Do you think this could be for my glory?
Do you think that I wish to make myself a star?
How absurd that line of thinking is–
I am unworthy of taking the next breath,
and my proper place is among the dead.
That place of existing without existence,
it’s a real place– don’t test it!
Don’t look to the pleasures of this world–
to save you– or even the structure of the law,
will fail you in time.
For everything in this world will fail you– even me!
I am but a cockroach waddling about–
in comparison to whom I serve– or even lower.
I have not a single thing remarkable to claim–
all is fake! In comparison to whom I serve,
I can not out give what was given to me.
I can not even take care of my own mind–
for it is mixed and confused, and not a single word–
can describe what makes it drive.
But yet He calms that– makes it still–
so that I may speak– and I use it to give praise!
He molds my mouth to His thoughts–
so that others my see His work.
For of everyone there is– I am the least of them!
I have argued with the Potter–
on how He has shaped His pot
and I have only found sorrow in it!
But yet– He continued forming His pot–
such an unworthy fool as me–
He still choose to form me– and call me to His own.
Let me tell you what you do not know!
His plans are perfect and there isn’t a single flaw–
you can not find a single thread that is misplaced!
You can not find a single thing– that He has not counted on!
You can not do a single thing– that you can not turn back from!
For He waits like a mother, hoping that you’ll come home!
He sought you like a precious jewel, while you were yet to be.
He arranged you’re life for you before you knew how to call on him.
He has everything in perfect order, and He is in control–
for our minds are not capable of reaching–
for the stars that He has set.
And I would be grief stricken–
if I were ever fully capable of understanding– Him!
For then what would eternity be worth? Nothing!
For when we’ve been there– ten thousand years–
bright shining as the sun!
We’ve no less days to sing God praise–
than when we first began.
So as it is my Lord! I wait on you!
For it is well with my soul– and you hold me–
tight to your will! even thou, I am unworthy to see you!
You still choose to call me son–
and allowed me to call you father!
For I am blessed– just because you let me take–
the next breath!
It is a gift from you!
As is everything in our lives!

For the issues that are no longer worth arguing over–
take a drink.
For the calls to violence that have accomplished nothing–
take a drink.
For the self indulgence that plagues it all–
take a drink.
For the dreams you wish you had–
take a drink and leave it there if you will.
For a world that’s full of suffering–
leave the drinking behind.
For thous you’re called to serve–
leave the drinking behind.
For a dare to hope of a new day–
leave the drinking behind.
For life in every word to the extent that it’s absurd–
leave the drinking behind and take to loving one another.
For all that’s given, much is taken–
and to take much in this world leaves–
less in the next, but so too is the reverse.
So as I ask, time and time again–
give me your will– and make me strong in it.
Take my sorrow so that I may take others,
and let me be pleasing in your sight.
Light the lamps at our feet–
and give us eyes to see.
Make us a joy to see–
and a light unto the path.
For all the tears that fall, much comfort is given–
but to ignore the tears is to ignore life–
and in the end the heart becomes dead.
But every heart has been given a chance–
for new birth, new life, better than great.
So I ask– don’t hold back your promises to me,
give me a second chance– to seek your face
and present you with– a life given to you.
Give us ears to hear–
so that we may find comfort in your words.
For every cut that stings, much healing is given–
but to ignore the wounds is to ignore the life–
it is only by your will that any heal.
For as this bodies grown for liberation from sin–
so too, the ways that we use them reflect our souls.
Let them be cleansed by your generosity–
so that they may shine your ways.
Give us our daily bread– and forgive us our trespasses–
as we forgive thous who trespass against us.
For all that is given– we wish to give back.
And I want life in every word–
to the extent that it’s absurd.

Who is that beautiful woman, Lord?
Why have you talked to me about her?
For isn’t it so,
that all pretty girls just want to use men
to gain what they want.
Such girls are a pearl ring in the nose of a pig,
even though they could accomplish much in life without it.
Just like the lost soul,
don’t all pretty girls just want things.
They don’t care of your will and your words, Lord!
So why should I bother with them!
They use twisted lies to sander your name,
and clam that they are your child.
But you don’t know they’re names–
for they don’t fear you.
They fill themselves with the worldly pleasures,
and only look for the passion of the moment.
But you have proved me wrong, Lord!
For your Joyous one has a beautiful soul,
that is rare to find.
But I am unworthy of such a soul,
for my heart is broken over another.
Even thou she held the key to set me free,
I still can’t ignore these feelings.
But you know my heart, Lord,
and you have purified it to your will.
For this woman that you have showed me,
is truly your child.
For the beautiful songs that she has sung to you, Lord,
reflects your majesty.
How can such a beautiful soul exist
in a world that is so distressful?
In a world so full of hate
how can such a loving one exist.
It is because she loves you first, Lord.
So I am grateful that you have even allowed me
just the chance to see her face!
But you have even let me
to get to know her,
such blessings are more than I deserve!
For I have ran from you all my life,
even thou I seemed to be right with you–
my heart was blackened with hate.
I had wished to destroy myself, Lord,
and take as many of your children with me.
But by your great blessings, Lord,
you have kept me form that path!
I don’t deserve this life you have given me,
but none the less, you have granted it!
You have called me your own!
For a purpose that I am still unsure of,
but let it be so.
For if I am to take the road less traveled by,
then, Lord, let it be so!
Let me sing your praises to my dieing day!
Let them be pleasing to your ears!
Forgive my many sins, Lord!
They are piled up as high as the mountains,
and I have no power over them!
But if you will bless me so,
then perhaps the thought of her smile
can give me more control.
And forgive her few sins, Lord,
for we all have to struggle with you!
But forgive my selfishness, Lord,
for if you do have another for me–
my heart is unable to Love that other one
like I love her.
But I pray that you’ll let her meet her match!
One that you have set out for her,
and let her know all of the joy in life.
For if it be someone that she has yet to meet,
then let it be!
But if she has already met him,
then let her see that!
But never let her forget you,
keep her path clear so that she will always love you first.
Keep my will close to you, Lord,
for my greatest joy is in
serving you!
Far be it form me that I should have a will
other than yours.
This is my final Psalm to you, Lord,
I have wrote many seeking to please your ears,
but now I must put my words to action.
I have written these to build up the ones you have chosen,
so that they my give their service to you, Lord!
Let it be!
For you are the I AM!
The Alpha and Omega,
the first and the last!
Let us do your will!
Hide us in the shadow of your wings.
Let us seek your face,
for we can not know what is to come,
yet we still know your will.
But amongst all these truths,
do not trust in me,
do not trust in your own heart,
but trust in your Father in Heaven!
But I know this much–
“Que sera, sera”
whatever will be will be–
The Lord holds you in His hands

“How joyful are those who fear the Lord–
all who follow his ways!
You will enjoy the fruit of your labor.
How joyful and prosperous you will be!”
For the Lord has shaped you by His own hand!
What joys that He could bestow on such as we!
For the Lord blesses
all thous who give them their all.
He won’t let you wander down the wrong road,
or into the fires of hell.
But He will show you a clear path,
one that you can not faultier on.
All this world was made for us to enjoy!
So let us sing praises to His name.
I tell you this–
you are more beautiful that you know.
Who can tell the Lord He is wrong
when He says someone is beautiful?
And He says that of you!
For He is pleased with you,
and His yoke is light.
“Righteousness and justice are the foundation
of His throne.”
So why talk harshly about yourself,
when He made you the beautiful woman that you are?
Give up your will to Him
and He will bless you greatly!
For all of the power is His
to command.
As His word is spoken,
so then His will is fulfilled.
“No one really knows what is going to happen;
on one can predict the future.”
And the Lord has many surprises in store for you,
but do not be afraid
for His will is good!
All of the good things in life is yours
for the taking.
but if you give that up to Him,
then He will bless you with a joyous life.
But you are not my key–
God has already used her to bring me to the right path,
and there is none left in my heart to give.
“I eat ashes for food.
My tears run down into my drink”
But yet I still sing praises to the Lord!
Don’t feel sorry for me,
the Lord has my will set.
“Yes, joyful are those who live like this!
Joyful indeed are those whose God is Lord.”
The Lord will light you a straight path,
and His will marches forward.
He will show you one who will truly love you,
if you will give him a chance,
and you will break way for a new sunrise!
God will make you a great blessing,
amongst a new crowd in need of care.
“Let every created thing give praise to the Lord,”
and show us a new way.
Let the Lord light the skyline,
for the rising of a new day!
This wretched winter will pass,
into a brighter future.
Place all your trust in the Lord.
Lay down your troubles to the Lord,
and give thanks in your days.
Pray for God’s traveler,
for he is a pleasing soul to the Lord.
Keep safe while your away,
and we will have a home built here for you.
Take courage in the Lord,
for he’ll hold you up in the times of trouble.
“Lift up your heads, O you gates!
And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The LORD strong and mighty,
The LORD mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O you gates!
Lift up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The LORD of hosts,
He is the King of glory.”
Amen!

“I know the Lord is always with me.
I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.
No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice.
My body rests in safety.
For you will not leave my soul among the dead
or allow your holy one to rot in the grave.
You will show me the way of life,
granting me the joy of your presence
and the pleasures of living with you forever.”
This world will be damned,
but you will not allow thous who love you,
suffer that fate.
But I have hidden from you!
I had sought the desires of only my wicked heart,
and looked to others for salvation.
There is no salvation there for me,
only suffering.
But you have turned my face,
made me a star,
and renewed my strength,
for a will that I was terrified of.
“Hide me in the shadow of your wings.”
These ways are of strange consequences, Lord!
Yet, they have been laid out before I was born.
For every tear the rolled down my face,
was well worth the price that I have paid.
I torment myself, so that I can offer it up to you,
and hope that you’ll use it to your will, Lord.
These dreams are disjointed,
I can not get a grip over them!
Yet, in time, you’ll show me what they mean,
exactly when you wish me to see them.
“May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing to you,”
for you hold our will.
Be it a strange way,
that you show me your day!
“Because I am righteous, I will see you.
When I awake, I will see you face to face and be
satisfied”
Oh! Traveler, don’t you see!
I was never meant to be understood!
For I can’t even understand myself,
so how are you to understand me?
For what my mind reaches to,
my mind is incapable of deciphering.
But be it so,
my will is set with the Lord.
In time the Lord will reveal,
all that is said,
but now is not the time for full comprehension
but to trust!
I have struggled with this mind all my life,
and almost lost it on many occasions.
But this is the mind the Lord has gifted me,
so that I may do His will.
I do not speak with my own understanding,
but I speak with words that reflect a greater understanding.
I am incapable of making these words myself!
I depend on the Lord for my words,
so that they will be true and just.
But yet still they are still flawed,
because my mind is incapable of holding them all.
But hold true to the word!
Let it guide you on your travels!
Let everything that you say–
seep from His lips.
Do not trust your own understanding!
It is flawed!
Trust in His instead,
and when the time is right:
He will move you to your next place.
For some He makes travelers,
and others He makes builders.
But one can not find His will without the other.
Let the Lord’s will shine off your face!
For where He sets you,
is where He stirs up His pot!
For He is pleased with you,
and grants you a life of joy.
Keep seeking that joy!
Hold true to your promise.
Keep God’s just one in your prayers,
for he needs much growth.
And show grace to God’s joyous one,
for she will break way,
to a new sunrise.
Praise our Lord,
who has said:
“I am the living one.
I died, but look–
I am alive forever and ever!
And I hold the Keys of death
and the grave.”
Amen!

“How can a young person stay pure?
By obeying your word.
I have tried hard to find you-
don’t let me wander for your commandments.
I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you”
For I know the deeds of my ways-
they are of distortion.
But I know the deeds of your ways-
and they are of grace!
For how is one to live in this world,
if it is not by your grace!
“Open my eyes to see
the wonderful truths in your instructions.
I am a foreigner in the land.
Don’t hide your commandments from me!”
I see now that I was about to hit that tree!
But by your grace I didn’t!
I’ve complained, on and on again
for that hit to the side you gave me
but that kept me from completely crashing.
And now I sing praises to your name!
For you have told me “try again, my son”
“Yes, this anguish was good for me,
for you have rescued me from death
and forgiven all my sins.”
“That is why the Lord says,
‘turn to me now, while there is time.
Give me your hearts.
Come with fasting, weeping and mourning.
Don’t tear your clothing in your grief,
but tear your hearts instead.’ ”
“Yet I still dare to Hope”
For all things in this world
was made for our benifit!
They will all work for our good!
Keep true to God’s justice,
For while the world will be condemned for it’s sins,
but we are freed by His power and grace.
They will cry to us!
They will ask us for a drop of water,
to help cope with their anguish.
But we will reply:
Why didn’t you help us cope with our anguish,
while we were on that earth.
The earth will soon dissolve like snow,
but we will remain,
and we will be together,
but not just then, but now!
We will not suffer our fathers’ fate,
thou that is not grim,
we will continue to work together for His will.
I have pleaded with God on our behalf,
and He has said “try again, my son”
“Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him,
so our land will be filled with his glory.”
And we will shine with His glory,
in a land full of darkness.
For God has placed us in His quiver,
and we eagerly await the day
where we are used to our full extent.
For you have been my brother,
and I need a family to rest with.
But when I meet the Lord first,
you will need to pass my work-
to the one He chooses.
Be that years or decades,
you will pass my work!
We will continue to labor in His quiver,
despite the laughter of some
and the concerns of others.
But this is where God has placed me!
This is where His will for my life will be revealed,
and His will for you is here.
For God has transformed you,
from a boy to a man of His justice.
But you’re still in the quiver,
with much to learn.
“How long will all this finally end”
It is only for the Lord to say,
but we will work together, till we have come
to His resting place.
The concerns of others will bless us on our path,
take them eagerly!
But the laughter of some will be condemned,
keep pressing despite them.
“Save yourselves from this crooked generation!”
For there will be many who will try to lead us astray,
but we placed our trust in God,
who will keep us to His path.
Sing praises, that God has gifted us His cherished one,
thou he is far from us now,
God will guide Him with the gifts that we need.
For he will not turn his back in our sufferings.
Pray for God’s traveler,
for where God places him is where he infuses God’s will.
Although he’ll have to move on again,
we will keep him close while he is here.
For all is to the glory of our Lord!
These sufferings are the price we pay,
but they are for a greater treasure,
that is our King!
“For the skies will disappear like smoke,
and the earth will wear out like a piece of clothing.
The people of the earth will die like flies,
but my salvation lasts forever.
My righteous rule will never end!”
Our King is returning!
Praise the Lord!
Keep Him close!
Amen!

Fall we may
within a life to lose
and leave decay.
A pride of choral screams,
it sings beyond and breathes for me.
The effect becomes a destination.
Life’s hold is lifted
when the hands of consciousness withdraw.
I did not create it,
I cannot maintain it,
not the way it was meant to be.
Reach that thought so slick on your tongue
often for only a glimpse;
could we have held it
had our senses not been pruned?
Sometimes I can see right through myself
(revealing the unexplainable)
and that’s when I know
in birth we were swallowed whole.
you

Gather all the wretched hands
that tremble with debts of promise
What can a man do
to lose his knowledge?
To forget the places
where his disgorgement lie?
What rags are all virtue…
and perfection but a thought…
Who am I, and who are you, to adapt to blindness?
to trust in momentum?
to push until made numb?
this is when it hits.
it sings beyond and breathes for me.
The effect becomes a destination.
head is heavy
vision undulates
breaks on the shore
fadeout.
like an old friend
face meets the floor.
say hello like you mean it
’cause you’re a star now, babe
you

Oh my sweet Savior, I pray for my friend
My utmost companion, brother to the end.
For if we go our separate ways
Let us spend together, our final days.
Let us meet again
He is a gift you’ve given to me
A spoiling gesture that’s set me free
He is a man that’s seen your face
He is a man that shows your grace
So if we go our separate ways, let us meet again.
For if we follow our fathers’ fates,
Though I pray that this is nay,
Let us meet on your golden way
Let us meet again.
I pray for him on whichever road he take
I pray he stays strong, for your great sake
I pray that if we go our separate ways
You’ll let us meet again.
A boy to some, a man to many,
A fellow believer and brother to me.
I thank you for his wondrous gifts,
For when I’m down, my head he lifts.
Let me be that brother to him
That he has so greatly been to me.
And if we go our separate ways,
Let us meet again.
I pray you guide us both through life,
Through all our pain and all our strife.
And if he chooses a separate path
Guide us back to one another, be our map.
And if I pass far too soon,
Guide him to fix my every ruin.
And me for him, if he meets you first
For you, oh Lord, are what we long and thirst.
So if we go our separate way,
Let us meet again some day.
May it be on this cold, dead earth,
Or up with you in our great re-birth.
Let us meet again, oh Lord.
Amen
