“My good friends, for the second time in our history a British Prime Minister has returned from Germany bringing peace with honour. I believe it is peace for our time.”(That from Wikipedia) On September 1, 1939, that statement was proven to be one of the most foolish statements in history. “I asked Hitler about one in the morning while we were waiting for the draftsmen whether he would care to see me for another talk….I had a very friendly and pleasant talk on Spain, (where he too said he had never had any territorial ambitions) economic relations with S.E. Europe, and disarmament. I did not mention colonies, nor did he. At the end I pulled out the declaration which I had prepared beforehand and asked if he would sign it. As the interpreter translated the words into German, Hitler said, ‘Yes, I will certainly sign it. When shall we do it?’ I said ‘now’, [and] we went at once to the writing table [and] put our signatures to the two copies which I had brought with me.” (Chamberlain in a letter to his sister Hilda Chamberlain, 10/2/38) What was it that made Neville Chamberlain believe that peace is possible with Hitler? Was peace possible with Hitler?
On January 30, 1933, Adolf Hitler was sworn in as Chancellor of Germany, and that started the path to World War II. As soon as he took office he immediately started removing what he considered the undesirable people in his nation, dissolving his opposition parties, including the communist party and the labor unions. After dissolving the opposition, Hitler set out to make his perfect Third Reich by building up the military. In 1935 Hitler violated the Treaty of Versailles by reinstating the draft in Germany and building up a new air force and navy. In March of 1936 he violated the Treaty of Versailles again by remilitarizing the Rhineland. At the beginning of 1938 Hitler started putting political pressure on Austria and using propaganda so that he could put into place his pro-Nazi ministers. Hitler demanded that Kurt Schuschnigg (the Chancellor of Austria at that time) either hand over power to the Austrian National Socialist party or face an invasion. So on March 12, 1938, Hitler marched his army into Austria. In fact the Austrians actually cheered the marching Nazis and the 8th army met almost no resistance. Later that afternoon Hitler himself went to Austria and proclaimed the Anschluss of Austria (annexation of Austria). But Austria was only the first country to be annexed by Germany in the 1930’s. The following month Hitler set his sights for Czechoslovakia.
On September 29, 1938, Hitler and Chamberlain had signed the Munich Agreement. According to the agreement, Czechoslovakia was to give up the Sudetenland that held most of Czechoslovakia’s defenses against Germany. The Czechs capitulated and agreed to the terms, and on the 10th of October, Germany became the de facto ruler of Czechoslovakia for a promise from Hitler that he would take no more land than that. Winston Churchill denounced the agreement calling it “a defeat without a war, the consequences of which will travel far with us along our road.” On March 15, 1939, Churchill was proven right when Hitler invaded the rest of Czechoslovakia and annexed it to the Third Reich while the eastern half became Slovakia and was made into a pro-Nazi state. On August 23, 1939, Hitler and Stalin signed a secret pact (known as the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact) to split Poland in half and then proceeded to invade the western half of Poland on September 1, 1939. In the following years, World War II had proven to be the most deadly war in all of history.
So why this review of history? I am reviewing this history because I think that we are in danger of repeating history. Now of course, this current war is going to be exceedingly different from the Second World War, but the similarities between this “Third World War” and the Second World War are how they led up to the war. Both have one critical element that started World War II, and what will start World War III: appeasement. In this current war the main culprit will be the Islamic Republic of Iran along with their allies, Syria, although there will be many other factions in this war some that may not even be affiliated with any country (Al Qaeda for example). Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won the 2005 presidential election in Iran, a man who had an alleged role in 1979 American Embassy Hostage Crisis. While Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is not Hitler there is a similarity in the character of both men. One of the most striking similarities is their Anti-Semitism. Ahmadinejad’s best example of this recently is his denial of the Holocaust that was a conference held on December 11, 2006. Now to add to that he also has a long history of anti-Israeli rhetoric. However, it is not only their Anti-Semitism but also the way that both Hitler and Ahmadinejad have subverted governments of other countries and replaced them with governments sympathetic to their governments.
For example, after several Massacres in Lebanon (like the Damour massacre) the Lebanese Civil War had started to break out all over Lebanon in 1975. By June of 1976, Syria had entered into the war and by October, Syria had control over most of Lebanon, and in 1977, the Palestine Liberation Organization started attacking Israel. After that Israel responded, and on June 3,1982 Israel invaded Lebanon and after a successful campaign on May 17,1983, Israel made an agreement to withdraw from Lebanon and in August of 1983 Israel followed through with that agreement. However Syria did not follow up on their side of the agreement and instead stayed in Lebanon and as a result to that, Hezbollah was able to gain control over Lebanon and are using assassinations in order to keep the government in line. The violence largely ended for the Lebanese Civil War in 1991. However that did not stop Hezbollah they continued to stay in Lebanon to keep control over the country and in the summer of 2006 they started attacking Israel again with the full support and the supplies coming from Iran and Syria. However, Lebanon is not the only country that Syria and Iran is trying to take over; they are trying to take over Iraq. We have found that it is Iran that is shipping weapons and munitions to Shia militias in Iraq. In fact, the majority of the supplies that the insurgents are using to fight against us come from Iran and Syria. They are even sending top leaders in their terror department to Iraq in order to help out the insurgents like the Iranian political analyst Hassan Abbasi. The goal is to destabilize Iraq so that they can gain control over Iraq and use it to further their Hitler-like domination over the world. At least now Bush is saying that he is going to start disrupting that flow of arms to the insurgents in Iraq.
The last similarity is both Hitler’s and Ahmadinejad’s obsession with acquiring nuclear weapons. Now Hitler never came close to developing a nuclear bomb but they did put considerable amount of resources to making a nuclear bomb. Ahmadinejad on the other hand is much closer to it than Hitler and also has the clear advantage of knowing that such a thing is possible. The official position of Iran is that they are just building this for nuclear power but Israel is not so certain about that given Ahmadinejad’s rhetoric on Israel. North Korea also said similar things while making their nuclear bomb. It took us only four years to develop a nuclear bomb in a time where such a thing was not known to be possible and Iran has had over 8 years to build a nuke and could have had some help.
So what should we do about this? Well, I am not a military expert but I did not want to end this article without giving you at least some idea on what I am proposing. First we announce to Iran that they have a month to stop shipping arms and IED’s to Iraq and stop making nuclear bombs or reap the consequences. During that time we start to set up for a massive air strike against the Iranians. While we are preparing for the air strike we can start giving the Iranians a taste of their own medicine by finding groups in Iran that would be sympathetic to our cause and start passing arms, grenades, RPG’s and rocket launchers, heck, maybe even tanks too. If the Iranians do not stop then we carry out the air strike by starting with their air defenses (those Tor-M1 anti-air missile systems that Russia is shipping to them, for example) then move on to their nuclear research and defensive infrastructure. If they still do not back down then we should move on to the political infrastructure in order to destabilize their government. With their government destabilized then I would suggest that we follow it up with a full scale invasion so that we can gain control of the country and start helping the Iranians to set up a new government that will not be hostile towards us. This will severely hinder any Islamic Fascist organization from being able to strike at us because they will not have the funding and the backing from Iran that they would need. In order to achieve such things we really don’t need any more of the standard massive army and air force that we needed during World War II. The size of the navy, air force and army is about the right size now and we should just maintain what we have now but what we need much more of is Special Forces like the army rangers, navy seals, and more marines. We could also use more predator drones and other UAV’s (unmanned aerial vehicles) in order to scout and find the enemy. However this war doesn’t stop there we also need to engage the enemy in a much more aggressive fight with our intelligence community. One of the suggestions that Hugh Hewitt made on his show is that we need an Intelligence Academy in order to train our people in advanced techniques to find the information that we need to locate and eliminate the Islamic Fascists as well as the people who are funding and planning their operations. Another thing that the academy could help us with is splinter cells. In other words, we could train people to use ninja-style tactics in order to infiltrate, acquire information, and make assassinations in the Islamic Fascist networks (just throwing out some ideas even if you may think they may be far fetched). The most likely prime candidates for such a role are most likely ex-special forces. One of the ideas that Bieren came up with is to use their own web sites against them so that when they go to their sites it gets redirected to a fake site and thus any donations made comes to us and not the Islamic Fascists so as to help starve the efforts of our enemy. We can also use this to spread out false information to our enemy so as to confuse them and break down their structure. Then we just need to start getting more aggressive with our enemy and start infiltrating their organizations and start killing off those who are funding and organizing them. Now I don’t pretend to know everything about this or even the best tactics but what I do know is that we need to start being much more ruthless in this fight than we have been.
Also, cutting and running from Iraq is not going to help us in this war because then Iran will gain the resources of Iraq. By cutting and running you will allow a Cambodia-like genocide in Iraq and then no one in the world would trust us any more. Would Al Qaeda and Iran’s Shia start fighting each other and kill each other? Well, yes, but there is far more Shia than Sunni in Iraq, and Iran won’t have too much to deal with. The very thing that Iran wants is chaos around the world so that it will make it easier for them to take control of a particular country and to use it to their advantage (countries like Somalia and Afghanistan before we invaded Afghanistan, and Ethiopia invaded Somalia) and this is the very thing they are trying to do in Iraq. Without us there then training camps will open up all over the country for both sides and they sill hate us the most and the primary planning, training, and funding will be focused on killing us. In comparison to all of the other wars that we have fought we have actually paid a very small price. Take a look at Iwo Jima where we lost 6,825 troops in that one battle that lasted about a month and here in the entire war in Iraq we only lost half that. But really the number of losses is not important if our cause is not just, then one soldier is too high of a price to pay, and if it is a just cause, then a million is a small price to pay. But remember that the reason that we are in Iraq is to protect us. How? Well, by being in Iraq then the Islamic Fascists are attacking us there trying to drive us out, because if they lose there then they will have a free democratic society right in the heart of their troubled region that will be able to hunt down and kill all of the Islamic Fascists in that area if you give them enough time. The worst month was over the summer last year; we lost around 300 troops that we are all still mourning. However did you know that during that same month we killed 5,000 Islamic Fascists in Iraq? Now if we had not gone to Iraq then what do you think these Islamic Fascists would be doing? Flipping flapjacks, selling cars, working at the BK lounge? No, they would be plotting and scheming for the next attack on us and our allies. They would be looking for more ways to KILL US! We have to fight this war with everything that we can muster in order to defeat this enemy. This war is going to take a long time and will most likely last for several decades. It’s funny seeing that we have had five years to build back the twin towers and we can’t even get started but yet were suppose to have a completely free and peaceful Iraq in three years. Wars take time.
Now I know that some of you may think that what I am proposing is wrong. I actually understand this. Some of you out there may think that if we could only move out of the region, leave them alone, just try to understand their thinking, and just give them some of what they want that they will become civil and peaceful with us. Those of you who believe in this are not evil or even unpatriotic. You believe that you can change the nature of these people and make them like us. The Pacifist Muse is one of my best friends and in many ways he is a much better man than I could ever hope to be. His way of looking at life and the goodness he sees in these people are things that I wish that I could believe the way that he does, but I can’t. The reason why I cannot is due to the history that I have cited earlier in my article and the way that evil people exploit appeasers like the Pacifist Muse. What they are suggesting is appeasement and if we as a country go down that path it will get us killed. I know you people that believe in this think that you are doing the best thing for the country, and I do think that you are patriotic but YOU ARE GOING TO GET US KILLED!!! Now, note that I said that you are gong to get us killed and not kill us, which is because you will not be directly responsible for getting us killed but you will be responsible for weakening us with your policies that will make it easier for the Islamic Fascists to kill us. However, for most of the appeasers out there they cannot help it because they have been so brain-washed by the universities and the mainstream media (that Rush all too appropriately calls the “drive-by media”). They don’t know better and don’t know the history that I laid out in this article. Unfortunately, I think that for such people the only way that you will be able to get through to these people is if a (if not many) nuclear bomb goes off and kills millions of Americans. So getting angry at these people will not help (it is sort of like getting angry at a tiger for eating meat). However there are a good number of the ones that I am getting angry at are the RINO’s (Republicans in name only) and they should know better. Those same senators that we have worked so hard to elect and send to office are now turning their backs on us and are getting involved in the cut and run policies along with the left (things like the Biden Resolution). The way that we can get to them is to keep on harassing them and letting them know that we are not pleased with their actions and are going to withhold money and votes from them.
It’s time that we start making good on our promise that we should “Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.” (John F. Kennedy in his inaugural address on January 20 1961). What ever happened to that party of John F. Kennedy? None of the Democrats I hear over the radio and on T.V. or anywhere seem willing to bear the burden that we face today. I can almost hear the Pacifist Muse screaming at the computer say “That’s just too simplistic, Darth!” I am sure that there are “pacifists” out there that are full of rage and anger at me for the words that I have just said here. I know that I may get hate mail from these “pacifists” out there. I really don’t care that much. I am far more concerned with this war and winning it. Now I am also sure that I have offended some of you out there and I am truly sorry if I have offended you but this war is more important than your feelings. Believe it or not I actually hate talking about this, writing about this, listening to this and making people angry over this. I HATE WAR, but war is necessary because of the nature of our enemy. I wish there were no wars but that is not reality. We live in a world run by the aggressive use of force as Rush would say and he is right. You may say that this is simplistic and in a way you are right. This problem is very simple to understand. We have an enemy that hates us and are perverting a religion in order to use it so that they can dominate the world through Shiria law just like Hitler tried to do with his Nazism. It is important for us to review the past so that we do not repeat the mistakes of the past. In an age with nuclear weapons and many other horrific weapons out there can we really afford to ignore what the Islamic Fascists are saying? When they start to talk about their dark vision for the world can we really afford to dismiss them? That is what they thought about Hitler all throughout the 1930’s and appeasements were put in place of action and look what it got them. It got them the worst war in all of history. However if we appease this enemy it will not get us a war; it will get us a genocide of our own people! And then what are we going to do when everyone you have known and loved is dead? What are we going to do when our very way of life is a distant memory? What are we going to do if we do not take this seriously? The rest of the world is too weak to fight this. It will be America alone that will have to fight this war or we will be doomed to either death or rule under Shiria law and me personally I’ll take the former.

Subversion is definitely the best course… But maybe we need to be even more subversive - Use the UN or whatever to force the Iranian government to allow more western media into the country - Secretly discredit Mosque leaders throughout their community - Support rebels and opposition groups that destroy and mock the current culture and structure - Introduce major viral contagions - and destroy crop sources - Erase the Iranian culture, erase their minds, erase their history - IN FACT - ERASE THE ENTIRE IDEA of Iran!!!
or maybe that isn’t the best idea? Just maybe we can start trying to make friends - or talk. Have Bush and Ahmadinejad sit down over a few glasses of wine - Hell, get Bush and Amadinejad some dance lessons together, maybe a cruise along the Alaskan coastline - they could watch the sunset on the melting ice-caps, kiss, make-up and peace would forever reign between America and it’s sister nation, Iran
or maybe there isn’t a clear solution - and maybe we’ll be dealing with these problems the rest of our lives. And maybe when I die in the mid 21st century, I’ll be dreaming of good ol’ days - back in the 1990’s when the economy was booming, terrorism was mostly in movies, and the US was a country no one felt sorry for…

I never said the solution was clear. I said the problem was clear. Oh and the UN is worthless and I would never suggest to use them in order to solve the problem. I was just suggesting solutions to a hard problem or would you like to sit and wait for them to blow up one of our cites. So if you don’t like my solution then tell me what we should do. If you look at the 1990’s though you find that their were several attacks that we ignored.
